Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of EventYard. The short version is in the box below; the full terms follow. Please read both.

In plain language
  • EventYard is a platform, not the event organizer. We provide the software to list events, take registrations and process payments. The events themselves are run by independent organizers.
  • The organizer is the seller. Your contract for any ticket or entry is with them, not us. They set prices, capacity, schedules and refund terms.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. EventYard never holds your funds; money goes to the organizer's connected account. Refunds are issued by the organizer.
  • If something goes wrong, we'll help. We can't force a refund, but we assist recovery and remove organizers who break these terms.

1. Who we are

EventYard BV ("EventYard", "we", "us") operates an online platform that lets event organizers create public event pages, collect registrations, sell tickets and manage attendees. We are registered in Belgium. By accessing or using EventYard you agree to these Terms of Use.

2. Our role — we are an intermediary

EventYard provides technology and payment-facilitation services only. We are not the organizer, promoter, or seller of any event listed on the platform, and we are not a party to the contract between an organizer and an attendee. Each organizer is an independent third party solely responsible for their event, including its accuracy, legality, safety, conduct, scheduling, cancellation and refunds.

References to an event on EventYard do not constitute our endorsement of that event or organizer.

3. Registrations, tickets & payments

  • When you register or buy a ticket, you enter into a contract directly with the organizer.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's own terms. Funds are paid to the organizer's connected account. EventYard does not take custody of attendee funds.
  • Prices, taxes, entry fees and what is included are set by the organizer.
  • EventYard charges organizers a subscription fee; we may also be paid a service fee, which is disclosed at checkout where applicable.

4. Cancellations & refunds

Refunds are the responsibility of the organizer. If an organizer cancels, postpones or materially changes an event, you should first request a refund from them. Because payments are processed through Stripe to the organizer's account, EventYard cannot unilaterally issue a refund on the organizer's behalf.

If an organizer fails to provide a refund you are owed, you may: (a) dispute the charge with your bank or card/payment provider; (b) open a claim with Stripe; and (c) report the organizer to us. We investigate reports and may suspend or remove organizers who do not honour refunds, but EventYard is not liable for refunds owed by an organizer.

5. Organizer obligations

  • Provide accurate event information and honour the terms you publish.
  • Hold any licences, permits and insurance your event requires.
  • Process valid refunds promptly and comply with consumer-protection law.
  • Handle attendee data lawfully (see our Privacy Policy and Data Processing terms).

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EventYard is not liable for: the acts or omissions of organizers or attendees; the cancellation, quality, safety or non-occurrence of any event; or refunds, losses or damages arising from your dealings with an organizer. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

7. Acceptable use & removal

We may remove events or suspend accounts that violate these terms, are fraudulent, unsafe, or unlawful. We operate a report mechanism on every event page and registration.

8. Changes & contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified. Questions? Email legal@eventyard.io.
